Sisterhood

CBI’s Sisterhood welcomes women of all ages and diverse backgrounds in a warm and inclusive environment. We offer a wide range of religious, educational and social programs, fostering connections among women and helping them feel engaged and empowered. 

We have a busy calendar! Highlights include: a Welcome Back Cocktail Event; Paid-Up Membership Dinner; Sisterhood Shabbat; Bi-annual Progressive Dinner, and an End-of-Season program.  Sisterhood also prepares and delivers Purim baskets to all congregants and mails Hanukkah menorahs to CBI college freshmen. In addition, Sisterhood runs the synagogue's gift shop, which sells beautiful Judaica at discounted prices.

Our fundraising efforts support both Sisterhood and the entire CBI community. We also partner with other committees within CBI to sponsor and enhance synagogue programs and initiatives. 

CBI’s Sisterhood is a member of the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism and a supporter of the Jewish Theological Seminary through its Torah Fund program.

It’s easy to join Sisterhood! Just “opt in” to paying Sisterhood dues on your annual CBI bill. Or join at any time during the year! Mothers with children in our Religious School are welcome to join Sisterhood even if not yet CBI members. We’d love to meet you at our next Sisterhood event!
