Friday Night Lecture & Shabbat Morning Study Session
In addition to speaking during both Friday night & Saturday morning Shabbat services Rabbi Artson will be giving a lecture on Friday Night (following dinner) & leading a study session on Shabbat Morning (following Kiddush). Both of these events are free and open to the community.

Friday Night Lecture - 8 PM:

Bound to Israel: Why Do We Care?

In a year of relentless news after the Hamas attack on Israel and the struggles against Iran proxies like Hizbollah in Israel’s defense, watching the suffering of civilians across Israel and Gaza, fighting for the return of the Israeli hostages, we are so trapped in the surges of hate and antisemitism that it is worth stepping on the balcony to remember why Israel has such a special place in our hearts and identities. Let’s take the time to appreciate what Israel means to our people and our lives.

Saturday Lunch Study Session - 12:30 PM:

Almighty? No Way! Embracing the God We Actually Love

What if our struggles with faith in God have to do with what we thought we were supposed to believe? What if God isn’t some bully in the sky, doling out citations and rewards from on high? Let’s look at Judaism with fresh eyes, to ask about the oneness out of which the universe emerges, to celebrate the mindfulness that lures us toward greater goodness and thriving.

Brunch & Learn Sunday Morning
Join Rabbi Artson for a final chance to learn on Sunday morning. Brunch will be served and is $10 per person.

Sunday Morning Study Session - 11:00 AM:

Love Your Neighbor: Inclusion as the Core Jewish Value.

Sharing insights from a lifetime with his autistic son, charting social challenges and Jacob’s courageous path toward independence and joy, Rabbi Artson shares insights, stories, and renewed hope for a world that celebrates us all, no exceptions!
